Why Joe Fagan deserves to be remembered as one of football’s greatest managers

However, he was no Ordinary Joe; he contributed to the success that Liverpool enjoyed throughout the 1970s and ‘80s like few others. Not only did Fagan help Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley re-build Liverpool from scratch, he also managed Liverpool to their most successful season ever by claiming a treble in the season 1983/1984.and so Fagan was the first manager of an English club to win three major trophies in a single season.
